Tire Puncture on the Penang Bridge

Dear all

Kindly be informed that Penang Bridge Sdn Bhd has introduced free tow services for motorcyclist who have a puncture tire on the Penang Bridge area with effective 1^st July 2009. Please call 1300 1300 03 for an assistance if you face the puncture tire on the Penang Bridge.

The motorcycle will be towed to the nearest motorcycle workshop as follows :

1. From Penang to Prai – Seberang Jaya motorcycle workshop
2. From Prai to Penang – Gelugor or Batu Uban motorcycle workshop.

The services will only cover the transportation to the workshop but for the repair of the tire puncture will be borne by the motorcyclist himself. Attached below the poster of information from Penang Bridge on the tire puncture.

Influenza A ( H1N1) Update 4

PUTRAJAYA: Another 20 Influenza A (H1N1) cases were reported in Malaysia, of which 16 are imported while four are local transmitted, said Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Ismail Merican.

He said the 20 new cases involved 13 Malaysians and seven foreigners - one Vietnamese, one German, one Australian, one Japanese, one American and two Indonesians.“ The total number of patients who are still being treated at hospitals are 42 and all of them are showing good response to the treatment without any complications,” he said in a statement here Monday.

On Sunday, Chung Hwa High School in Seremban was ordered closed till July 5 after a Form 3 student contracted the flu from her brother, a student in Australia who had come home for the holidays.

Influenza A ( H1N1 ) Update3

PUTRAJAYA: A 19-month-old baby is among 11 new cases of influenza A (H1N1), Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said.

Liow said yesterday’s three locally transmitted cases and eight imported cases brought the total number now to 91, but 35 of the patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

One of the three locally transmitted cases involved a foreign student in Kuala Lumpur while three of the imported cases were foreigners – from Ireland, Australia and the Philippines.
